MARY WANGUI
Facilitator, RSRI Refugee Leadership & RLO Engagement TWG
Mary Wangui serves as a consultant to the RSRI and a facilitator of the Refugee Leadership & Refugee-Led Organization (RLO) Engagement Technical Working Group (TWG). She has over a decade of experience in training, refugee-focused programming, and partner management.
Mary has worked in various capacities, including as a Country Officer for Independent Diplomat, supporting RLOs in strengthening their diplomatic engagements with policymakers and the international community. She also worked with RefugePoint, where she led strategic engagement and capacity-strengthening initiatives for refugee-led and community-based organizations.
Throughout her career, Mary has managed grant programs for RLOs, overseen livelihood programs, coordinated learning networks, and led large-scale convenings. She holds a Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship and a bachelor’s degree in education. She is also a certified Trainer-of-Trainers.
