This White Paper by RefugePoint, UNHCR, and the Refugee Self-Reliance Initiative (RSRI) examines the interrelationship between mental health and self-reliance among refugees and what this means for policy and practice. It highlights the ways in which the two mutually reinforce one another, the value of integrating mental health considerations into self-reliance and economic inclusion efforts amid reduced funding, and the need for further research to identify what approaches work best, for whom, and in which contexts.
